Twilight producers bring another young adult literary series to screens


Jonathan Levine will direct CBS films’ film adaptation of Marie Lu’s futuristic film adaptation of “Legend” (the first book will be released in November).

The Hollywood Reporter
says Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey, producers of “The Twilight Saga”, are also behind this book cum film.

“Legend” “takes place in Los Angeles over a hundred years in the future, when North America is split into two warring nations. Legend focuses on Day, a Robin Hood figure who happens to be the nation’s most wanted criminal, and June, a teenage prodigy who is hired to hunt him down. The pair are caught in a game of cat and mouse until an impossible truth about their totalitarian leaders forces them to work together.”

Levine directed indy fave “All the Boys Love Mandy Lane” starring Amber Heard and recently completed “I’m with Cancer” starring Seth Rogen.
