Upfront Updates : Fox axes The Chicago Code and Lie to Me

More upfront updates from the Fox stables (who will officially announce their line-up on Monday)… “The Chicago Code”, the Shawn Ryan conceieved copper drama starring Jennifer Beals, is gone (Ryan has since updated his Twitter to confirm the axing). “Lie to Me”, now in it’s third season, is – despite a steady following and a remarkable turn by Tim Roth – also headed for the scrap pile. And last but not least, “Locke & Key”, the comic-book inspired series set to star Mirando Otto and Nick Stahl, is stillborn – the brass at Fox just didn’t go for it.

Another promising pilot, “Exit Strategty”, directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Ethan Hawke and Tom Sizemore, still hasn’t had it’s fate decided but word is Fox will ask Fuqua to retool it. In otherwords, it works… to an extent. Sizemore must be crushed.

As reported a couple of hours ago, Fox have also let go of “Human Target” and “Breaking In”. More updates as they come in…
