Utopia is no more

Fox’s “Utopia” has been given the flick.

The show followed a group of strangers as they attempted to create a new society while living in isolation on a ranch in Santa Clarita, California. The broadcast was initially set to run for 12-months, airing twice a week plus a 24/7 live feed available at UtopiaTV.com.

The network has now axed the ambitious reality show after just two months on the air.

The Tuesday broadcast was pulled from the air shortly after the show premiered. Now the Friday night broadcast will be replaced with “MasterChef Junior” reruns.

Ratings have been low for a while now, with the network trying to rescue the show recently by adding complicated twists and turns along the way.

Conrad Green was showrunner and exec producer along with John de Mol, Marc Jansen, Jon Kroll and David Tibballs.
