Vance joins Lilo & Stitch at Disney

Emmy and Tony winner Courtney B.Vance has joined the cast of Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch.

According to Deadline, the “Lovecraft Country” and “American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson” actor will play Cobra Bubbles in the Dean Fleischer Camp-directed film, joining Billy Magnussen (No Time to Die), Zach Galifianakis and newcomer Maia Kealoha who has been tapped as Lilo.

The Hawaii-set story fixes on the bond between a lonely girl named Lilo and the alien, Stitch, engineered to be a force of destruction.

Ving Rhames voiced the role of Cobra Bubbles in the films and its TV spin-offs.
