Sienna Miller (“Stardust”, “Layer Cake”) has joined the ridiculously star-studded cast of “New Years Eve”, Garry Marshall’s “Valentine’s Day” spin-off. The pic, also featuring the likes of Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Zac Efron, Halle Berry, and “Glee” star Lea Michelle, tells of a group of interconnected people and their New Years festivities. Lukas Haas (“Brick”, “Witness”) and Diego Luna (“Milk”, “Y tu mama tambien”) have joined the ensemble cast of director’s “Contraband”. Starring Mark Wahlberg, the film – a remake of an Icelandic movie – tells of a retired smuggler who is persuaded to do one last job. Kate Beckinsale, Giovani Ribisi and Ben Foster also star in the film, currently filming in New Orleans (Source : Hollywood Insider).

Despite the fact that his character never appeared in the film’s literary source, Elijah Wood is rumoured to be reprising Frodo for “The Hobbit”. Orlando Bloom was recently rumoured to be reprising his “Lord of the Rings” role for the Peter Jackson directed prequel, so chances are we’ll soon hear of even more “Rings” favourites returning for the film. Eminem will star in David Von Acken’s “Random Acts of Violence”, a FOX thriller about a an ex-con caught between his former gang and the FBI, who want him to work as a snitch. Funnyman Ricky Gervais will voice ‘The Mole’ in a new film version of “The Wind in the Willows”. Directed by Ray Griggs, the movie will shoot in New Zealand, where Griggs worked for Peter Jackson’s WETA outfit. (Source : Variety)
