Various Marvel News : Red Skull image, Hawkeye’s Thor cameo, Tommy on Spidey

Looks like we webmasters will be beseeching a good water bubbler and hand towel again, gonna be a lot of comic-book ink on our hands by the time the week winds up. Not content with letting Charlie Sheen’s Tiger Blood overdose snag all the headlines, Marvel has been blowing out (I picture Kevin Feige with a bubble-gun full of Marvel movie info… blowing a bubble of good stuff out every few minutes for the web cache to catch) quite a few bits over the last 24 hours.

CAPTAIN AMERICA : THE FIRST AVENGER
A new high-res version of the ‘Red Skull’ pic from “Captain America” (The First Avenger was technically Matt Salinger, was it not!?) has creeped it’s way into our inbox. Though I’m not sure anyone will beat Scott Paulin’s miraculously monstrous performance as the character of the same name in Albert Pyun’s “Captain America” from the ’90s (snigger), I’m sure Hugo Weaving will give it his best shot.
Here’s a server-hungry pic of the cherry-toned cat in the upcoming “Captain America : The First Avenger”, thanks to those spunks at Paramount :

THOR
Only a couple of weeks away now from one of the most anticipated films of the last few years…. “Something Borrowed” with Kate Hudson and that guy from ‘The Office’ and, er, “Thor”. In all seriousness, “Thor” looks cooler than a frozen coke. Here’s a new clip from the film courtesy IGN – look closely and you’ll spot Hawkeye!

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN
Stan Lee, best known as ‘man with hose’ from “X-Men : The Last Stand”, has filmed his cameo in “Captain America”; he’s now lending his face to “The Amazing Spider-Man”. (More…).
One of the film’s stars, C.Thomas Howell (Ponyboy!) says the film, by the way, is going to be bigger and better than the previous “Spider-Man” (and maybe even his own film, “Side Out“). “I’m done,” he said. “They’re going to New York to film the rest. I’m a huge fan. It was an amazing experience [and they’re] a great group. Sony was amazing, and I was just proud to be a part of it.” (More…)

THE AVENGERS
Marvel’s “The Avengers” begins filming the first week of May, according to new ‘Hulk’ Mark ‘Meg Ryan’s seen my bits’ Ruffalo. “We have to get the script,” he tells MTV Movies Blog. “We’ve been working on the script, which has been fun. I’ve lost 15 pounds. They don’t want me all ripped up, but they want me to be lean and mean. It’s about trying to get the psychology of somebody who knows, at any moment, they could literally tear the roof off of wherever they are and trying to bring something real to that and totally fantastic.” Acknowledging that others have played the Hulk before him, Ruffalo said, “I’ve got some big shoes to fill. I kind of look at it as my generation’s Hamlet. We’re all going to get a shot at it.” Yep, that Michael Bell was quite a Hulk (one for you trivia nerds).
