Weinstein’s tell Garland story

Bob and Harvey Weinstein are hangin’ with Dorthy… or they will be.

The Weinstein Company have optioned the rights to Gerald Clarke’s “Get Happy: the Life of Judy Garland.”

Published in 2000, the book details how the actress and singer was plagued by personal problems and mistreated by employers, family and lovers.

The eventual film is sure to be good – Clarke’s biography on Truman Capote served as the basis for Dan Futterman’s screenplay for “Capote”.
