Here’s Matt Damon looking a million – okay, twenty – bucks on the set of the-film-we-thought-we’d-never-see.
The 44-year-old spunk is shirtless and sweaty on location for Universal’s fourth direct sequel to “The Bourne Identity”. The film, reuniting Damon with Paul Greengrass (who directed each of the “Bourne” films bar the original), sees the Oscar Winning actor reprise his trademark role of amnesiac spy Jason Bourne.
The photo was tweeted by producer Frank Marshall, who added the caption “First day of principal photography complete and happy to report, BOURNE is back!”
Alicia Vikander, Tommy Lee Jones and Julia Stiles and Vincent Cassel – playing the villain – figure into the story, too. None of them have been seen in any topless pictures from the set yet, but one of a suntanned Tommy Lee Jones, stripped on a banana lounge, is likely only days away now.
The untitled sixth (if you count Jeremy Renner’s one-shot “Bourne Legacy”) “Bourne” film is in theaters July 29, 2016.
