Looks like we might be faced with something a little more scary than lions, tigers and bears, because a new horror film is in the works and it’s set in the world of “The Wizard of Oz”!
New Line Cinema acquired the pitch from Mike Van Waes and while we don’t have any plot details yet, we do know the film will have ties to the universe created by L. Frank Baum in his 1900 novel “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz”.
That book has been adapted for the stage and screen numerous times, most notably in the 1939 classic film starring Judy Garland.
