With the “Saw” series done and dusted (sniffle) and no plans for a “Princess Bride” remake (yet!) – in which case Elwes would likely only be offered a cameo as ‘old man who advises Taylor Lautner’s Westley on how to beat the evil Humperdink’ anyway – Cary Elwes needs to find his meal ticket in other places. According to Deadline, Elwes has scored a job on TVs “Wonder Woman”- so that should put food on the table for atleast 12 weeks as long as the show should last.
Elwes joins Adrianne Palicki, Elizabeth Hurley and Tracie Thoms on the David E.Kelley/NBC small screen reboot; he plays the CEO of Diana’s/Wonder Woman (Palicki) company and her devoted friend, says Deadline.
Elwes (“Robin Hood : Men in Tights”, “Hot Shots!”) hasn’t been an out-and-out ‘good guy’ in a while – even on “The X-Files”, which he guested on in it’s last season, his character was a slimy scumbag – so this should please his blood pressure.
