Superman fanclub running new series Persons of Interest?

It’s the only explanation.

Jim Caviezel, at one time tipped to headline Brett Ratner’s “Superman”, will play the title role in the new series “Persons of Interest” – produced by one-time “Superman” scribe J.J Abrams and created by current “Superman” (2012) scribe Jonah Nolan!

Yeah, Okay, it’s just a coincidence… but sure does make for a fine title tease, right!? One thing’s for sure, with Nolan working on the new Man of Steel movie and Caviezel and Abrams involved in a “Superman” film at different times the topic’s sure to come up on set.

According to Vulture, the “Passion of the Christ” and “Frequency” star has just closed a deal to star as ”Reese, a paramilitary officer for the CIA thought to be dead who ends up working for a mysterious New York billionaire in a fight against violent crime in the city” on the show.
“Lost” alum Michael Emerson and Taraji P. Henson (”The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”) will also star on the show, assumingly on the air later this year (or early next).
