MMA fighter Michael Bisping is currently shooting the new “xXx” film (the second sequel to the early noughties hit starring Vin Diesel) and says while it might be the first of what he hopes to be many acting gigs for him, his first love will remain the UFC.
“Obviously, first and foremost, my intention is that I’m a fighter,” Bisping told MMAjunkie. “But I’ve been trying to shift away to an acting career for a number of years now. It’s a tough business, but I’m doing ok and making some traction and getting a few roles here and there. I went to an audition a month ago and was successful and got the part. Here I am in Toronto and I’ve been here for four or five weeks now – something like that. It’s Vin Diesel, it’s the new ‘xXx’ movie and it’s got a fantastic cast with Donnie Yen, Tony Jaa, to name but a few. Of course, Samuel L. Jackson and Vin Diesel. The list goes on and on. There are some surprises in there too that I can’t mention. But I’m having a great time; a fantastic time.”
Bisping also has a role in the upcoming “Twin Peaks”, airing on Showtime in 2017.
