Young actress Ariana Neal will play a young Nicki Minaj in Minaj’s upcoming ABC Family comedy “Nicki”.
The full cast was announced on Friday and includes Selita Ebanks as Grace, Minaj’s mother; Wesley Jonathan as Vincent, Minaj’s father; and McCarrie McCausland as Jaylen, Minaj’s older brother. Whoopi Goldberg will guest star as Nicki’s neighbor, Miss Martha.
Minaj is exec producing and will also appear in the show.
“Nicki” explore Minaj’s life from growing up in Queens after immigrating from Trinidad to her personal and musical evolution that led to her rise to stardom.
