Zac Efron and Emily Ratajkowski are set to team up for Max Joseph’s “We Are Your Friends”, reports Deadline.
Efron and Ratajkowski, who is best known for her role in Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” music video, will co-star in the film which will be “Catfish” co-star Joseph’s directorial debut.
Joseph and Meaghan Oppenheimer penned the script from Richard Silverman’s story which follows a young DJ, Cole, who meets older, experienced DJ James. James takes Cole under his wing, however when Cole meets Sophie, James’ girlfriend, a love triangle ensues.
Deadline also reports that Shiloh Fernandez, Alex Shaffer and Jonny Weston are in talks for roles.
Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan of Working Title Films are producing with Silverman exec producing.
Production is set to get underway on August 18.
