“The Conjuring” spinoff “The Nun” is making moves, signing Demian Bichir. The film is based on the creepy demon nun from “The Conjuring 2”, and will once again be produced by horror king James Wan. Wan joins Peter Safran in the producers’ seat, with Colin Hardy directing the horror flick.
Plot details are still under wraps, but as THR reports, Bichir will be playing a priest named Father Burke, who investigates the mysterious death of a nun.
“Annabelle” was the first spinff to come from the Conjuring universe, with sequel Annabelle: Creation opening later this year. “The Nun” has been given a July 13, 2018 release date.
