Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions are teaming on a film adaptation of the video game “Gran Turismo.”
According to Deadline, though the project is still early in development, Neill Blomkamp is the fave to direct.
Blomkamp, who hails from South Africa, is best known for unique sci-fi films like “District 9”, “Chappie”, “Elysium” and “Rakka”. He tried to get Cameron getting Blomkamp’s Alien 5 going!?“>a fifth “Alien” film off the ground, at one stage, that would’ve starred Sigourney Weaver and Michael Biehn.
Rumors that a TV adaptation of the game was also in the works are reportedly false, added the trade.
