Warner Bros have shifted some of their upcoming tentpoles, while dating a couple of their HBO Max originals as theatricals – notably, the New Zealand-lensed Evil Dead reboot.
Superhero flicks Shazam! Fury of the Gods and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom have been delayed again – sorry to say!
The James Wan-directed Aquaman sequel will now hit December 25, 2023, while Shazam! Fury of the Gods is taking it’s old slot of March 17, 2023.
Of the new theatrical releases Warner Bros has skedded, Lee Cronin’s highly-buzzed Evil Dead Rise has landed a April 21, 2023 release, the Lebron James-produced House Party remake will now skip HBO Max for theaters December 9, The Nun 2 will open September 8, 2023, and an untitled event film is dated for Feb 10, 2023. Is that The Flash, perhaps!?
The previously-dated Salem’s Lot remake, originally skedded for March, is now undated.
