Silver asks Diaz to play Wonder Woman

This sits about as well as week-old Nachos in the tummy.

Apparently Joel Silver had his heart set on Cameron Diaz for the role of "Wonder Woman" – give us a break Uncle J! – but she’s turned him down. Seems Diaz has a lil’ bit of something implanted in her noggin after all.

Female First reports that Diaz was sent the script but didn’t even bother to give it a read.

"An approach was made to Cameron but she turned it down flat", says an insider. "It was not a firm offer, more that the producers wanted to sound her out as a possibility."
