Amanda Seyfried in talks for MacFarlane comedy

“Les Miserables” star Amanda Seyfried is in talks to join Seth MacFarlane’s new western comedy “A Million Ways to Die in the West”, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Seyfried would join fellow hottie Charlize Theron in the MacFarlane starring/directed/co-written comedy, said to be in the vein of Mel Brooks’ classic “Blazing Saddles”.

Million Ways follows a sheepish farmer who chickens out of a gunfight and sees his girlfriend leave him. When he meets the wife of a notorious outlaw (Theron) who offers to teach him how to shoot, the farmer sees a chance to win back his love.

Seyfried will play the deserting girlfriend.

“A Million Ways to Die in the West” will shoot in May, at which time MacFarlane’s Oscar duties will be done and dusted.
