Ash’s release date updates! Smurfs! Gerard! Goosebumps!

The release calendar for the next couple of year is starting to take shape, with three more films receiving that all important date.

“London Has Fallen” is set to hit US cinemas on October 2, 2015. The date comes as Focus Features picks up the US distribution rights to the “Olympus Has Fallen” sequel.

Gerard Butler will return to star in the sequel which sees the US President team up with his secret service agent (Butler) and an English MI-6 agent in an attempt to save the world from a terrifying future.

Meanwhile some changes have been made to Sony’s release calendar with “Goosebumps” and the untitled “Smurfs” film receiving new dates.

“Goosebumps” has been moved forward from March 23, 2016 to August 7, 2015 and will now open against “Assassin’s Creed”.

The Jack Black starer is directed by Rob Letterman and is based on the “Goosebumps” book series by R.L. Stine.

The third “Smurfs” instalment will bow August 5, 2016, pushed back a year from its initial August 14, 2015 slot.

With Kelly Asbury directing, it is hoped that the next “Smurfs” pic will do better than its predecessor, which crashed at the domestic box office.
