Brad Pitt is being linked to a new film Ronny Howard’s got on the boil about Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh, says the NY post.

Howard and producing partner Brian Grazer are planning to redo the 1956 Vincente Minnelli-directed movie "Lust for Life", which snagged Kirk Douglas an Oscar nomination as the troubled van Gogh, who committed suicide in 1890.

Howard’s already earmarked the "Ocean’s Twelve" star for the role, promising him the film will have a "new angle" to it.
