Ageless beauty (and the-one-and-only Catwoman in my opinion) Michelle Pfeiffer will play Chris Pine’s mother in “Welcome to the People”, the drama that marks the directorial debut of “Star Trek” screenwriter Alex Kurtzman.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, “People” follows ”a businessman who returns home after his estranged father’s death and discovers that he has an alcoholic sister with a 12-year-old son. He is forced to reexamine his own life while trying to form new bonds with his family”.
Two other not-too-hard-on-the-eyes beauties, Olivia Wilde (“TRON Legacy”) and Elizabeth Banks (“Zack and Miri Make a Porno”) are also onboard.
The script was written by Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Jody Lambert.
We’ll be seeing quite a bit of Pfeiffer in 2011 – she’s also onboard the all-star rom-com “New Year’s Eve” from director Garry Marshall.
