Chandrasekhar to rewrite and direct Yogi Bear 2

Well, it ain’t “Super Troopers 2”. Sigh.

Broken Lizard member and “Super Troopers” helmer Jay Chandrasekhar has been tapped to rewrite and direct Warner’s “Yogi Bear 2”, according to Deadline.

Chandrasekhar, whose other efforts behind the lens include “Beerfest” and the recent “The Babymakers”, takes over from Eric Brevig, who captained the original “Yogi” tug.

It’s assumed Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake will again lend their lungs to Yogi and Boo Boo.
