Besides her short-lived series “Agent X”, and a couple of film roles here and there (“Lovelace”, “God’s Behaving Badly”, “A Golden Boy”), Sharon Stone, 58, hasn’t been a regular face on either the big or small screens since her heyday in the nineties.
A comeback might be imminent though, with news that the “Basic Instinct” and “Total Recall” beauty is set to appear in an upcoming Marvel movie.
“I am going to do a Marvel movie”, Stone told TV’s James Corden. “I’m just doing a wee part in a Marvel movie, upcoming, and I can’t tell, because you know, you have to sign confidentiality agreements. But I’m going to do a wee part in a Marvel movie now. That’s it.”
Speculation has it that Stone might be reuniting with her “Basic Instinct” co-star Michael Douglas for Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp”. If that’s indeed the movie Stone has filmed the “wee” part in, she’s possibly playing Janet Van Dyke – Hope’s (Evangeline Lily) mother and late wife of Hank (Douglas) – who was the original ‘Wasp’.
Whatever the film, it’ll be the second time Stone has appeared in a comic book movie – in 2004, she played the villain in the ill-fated “Catwoman” for Warner Bros.
