A whole movie of film trailers!
A little thing like “Grindhouse” floppin’ doesn’t scare off ol’ Eli Roth.
The “Hostel” director – and director of one of the faux trailers that was tacked onto the Weinstein regret, “Grindhouse” – tells Collider that he’s going to go one better than the Tarantino/Rodriguez film; he’s going to direct a film that’s completely made of fake trailers!
“Trailer Trash”, Roth tells the site, will be start to finish with mock film previews. The filmmaker says he’ll do trailers for every genre – and confirms that you’ll see trailers for “Thanksgiving 2” and “Hanukill” – and that different filmmakers will have a stab at directing them.
Sounds like fun. Weinstein’s definitely won’t be wanting in on it though. Probably Lionsgate, I assume.
