End of Watch coming to the small screen

A TV series adaptation of David Ayer’s “End of Watch” is in the works at Fox.

The “Suicide Squad” helmer’s police drama project has snagged a script-to-series commitment from the net.

Co-written and executive produced by Ayer and former David Matthews, “End of Watch” follows the daily grind of two young Los Angeles police officers who are partners and friends, and what happens when they meet criminal forces greater than themselves.

“End of Watch”, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena, was a box office success, grossing $58 million on a budget of $10M.
