Exclusive : Piddock joins Cold Light of Day

Steadily-employed character actor Jim Piddock (“The Prestige”, “Best in Show”) has joined the cast of Mabrouk El-Mechri’s action thriller “The Cold Light of Day”.

The film stars Bruce Willis, Henry Cavill and Sigourney Weaver and fixes on a young American whose family is kidnapped while holidaying in Spain. The sibling only has a certain amount of time to figure out the connection between his father’s secrets and his folks’ disappearance.

Piddock, seen recently in “Get Him to the Greek” and TVs “Party Down”, will play Meckler, a U.S Embassy guy.

Interestingly enough, it’ll be one of the few times British-born Piddock has played an American.

Set and filmed entirely in Spain, “Cold Light” will be shot over ten weeks in the Community of Valencia and Madrid as well as several weeks on the stages at Ciudad de la Luz studios in Alicante. Mabrouk El-Mechri directs the project from an original screenplay by Scott Wiper & John Petro, with revisions by Richard Price.
