FX miniseries “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story” will be coming in 2018, and EW have just given us a first look at Penelope Cruz in the role of Donatella Versace.
As the title of the series would suggest, it surrounds the events of the murder of fashion designer Gianni Versace. Alongside Cruz, the series will feature an all-star cast including Ricky Martin as Gianni Versace’s long-term partner Antonio D’Amico, Darren Criss as Andrew Cunanan (Gianni’s murderer), and Edgar Ramirez as Gianni.
Ryan Murphy, Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson are executive producers of the show, which is the third “American Crime Story” miniseries – alongside “Katrina”, about the natural disaster and “The People vs. O.J. Simpson”.
