It’s official : Daniel Craig is James Bond again

In news that is no longer surprising, Daniel Craig has confirmed on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” that he is indeed returning as James Bond for the 5th time.

Variety has the report, with the actor confirming (finally) that he will be back for “James Bond 25”. Craig also stated that he believed this one would be his last appearance as the spy:

“I think this is it. I just want to go out on a high note. I can’t wait.”

However, prior to this Craig had said he’d rather “smash this glass and slash my wrists” than return to the role of Bond after “Spectre”, so his intention for “25” to be his last can be taken with a grain of salt. Referring to those comments, Craig noted:

“Instead of saying something with style and grace, I said something really stupid”
