Jet Li is set to fight Vin Diesel in “xXx 3: The Return of Xander Cage”.
The Revolution Studios reboot of the early 2000s action spy franchise will co-star Nina Dobrev, Deepika Padukone, Ruby Rose and Samuel L. Jackson.
While plot details remain under wraps, THR reports “Li will play the leader of his own team and will square off against Diesel. Whether he is the ultimate villain of the pic remains to be seen.”
F. Scott Frazier penned the script from which D.J. Caruso will direct. Production is scheduled to kick off in February in Toronto and the Dominican Republic.
