After his faux homeless rapper persona from a couple of years ago, it’s hard to believe anything that comes out of Joaquin Phoenix’s gob. Alas, the “Her” star says he’s heard nothing about this Joker origin movie that he’s tipped to be headlining (as the Clown Prince of Crime).
While speaking to French publication Allocine about his latest offering “Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far On Foot”, Phoenix is quizzed on the Martin Scorsese produced movie on Batman foe The Joker – but says he has “no idea” what the journalist is referring to. Phoenix admitted it does “sound amazing” but insists its news to him.
Earlier this month it was reported that Phoenix was in talks with director Todd Phillips (“The Hangover”) to star in the film.
