Johnny Depp to star in Dark Knight Rises Cinematographer’s directorial debut

Wally Pfister, the cinematographer behind “The Dark Knight Rises”, looks to nab Johnny Depp for his directorial debut according to Deadline.

The screenplay, written by newcomer Jack Paglen, is being kept under wraps.

Pfister says Depp is “a creative and intelligent artist whom I feel will bring great depth to the character and the overall narrative.”
