June, 2016 release for Black’s The Nice Guys

Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe will hit the big screen together on June 17, 2016.

Gosling and Crowe’s film “The Nice Guys” has been handed the mid-2016 release date by Warner Bros, with production is planned for the coming months.

Set in Los Angeles in the 1970s, the film follows down-on-his-luck private eye Holland March (Gosling) and hired leg-breaker Jackson Healy (Crowe) who must work together to solve the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star. However the duo uncover a much bigger, shocking conspiracy that concerns the highest circles of power.

Shane Black will helm from a screenplay he co-wrote with Anthony Bagarozzi.

Joel Silver is producing with exec producers Ken Kao of Waypoint Entertainment, Hal Sadoff, and Michael Malone.
