The film, due February 8, 2019, recently saw the departure of Rob Schrab, who left over creative differences.
Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who helmed the original film, are producing alongside Dan Lin and Roy Lee.

M.Night Shyamalan has been hinting that his next film may be a sequel to “Unbreakable” – featuring characters from his current box office hit “Split”.
The filmmaker took to Twitter this weekend to confirm that that film has progressed.
“I have an 11-page outline for my next film in my bag. I can’t tell you what it is, but If you’ve seen #split..”
