Liam Hemsworth joins the cast of Cut Bank

Busy young Liam Hemworth (“Paranoia”, “The Hunger Games”) will star in the crime thriller “Cut Bank” for director Matt Shakman (TV’s “Mad Men”), says The Hollywood Reporter.

The Canadian production has already signed Armie Hammer, John Malkovitch, Ben Kingsley, Michael Sheen and Teresa Palmer for roles in the film.

Hemsworth will play 25-year-old Dwayne McLaren, a former-athlete-turned-auto-mechanic who is desperate to escape his hometown of Cut Bank, Mont. But his dreams of escaping the coldest town in America set in motion a series of events that will change him and his town forever.

Edward Zwick (“Love and Other Drugs”) produces the film, the feature debut of Shakman.
