Heigl to star in new comedy from “Legally Blonde” director
Australia’s Robert Luketic has worked with some pretty foxy dames in his time – Reese Witherspoon on “Legally Blonde”, Jennifer Lopez on “Monster-In-Law”, and most recently, Kate Bosworth on “21” (oh shit… and yeah, Tania Lacey in “Titsiana Booberini” – heh). Now he’s set to capture Seattle Grace’s beautiful Izzie on film…. Katherine Heigl.
The “Grey’s Anatomy” spunkette – as opposed to ‘smurfette’ – will headline Luketic’s new romantic comedy “The Ugly Truth” which reunites Luketic with his “Legally Blonde” writers Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith.
The story, says Variety, centers on a romantically challenged morning show producer (Heigl) who is reluctantly embroiled in a series of outrageous tests by her chauvinistic correspondent to prove his theories on relationships and help her find love. His clever ploys, however, lead to an unexpected result.
No word yet on whether Heigl takes her top off in it. Doubtful. But think of how many more bums that would put on seats, Rob?
