Big Short helmer returns for Marvel sequel

Adam McKay, who helped rewrite Edgar Wright’s “Ant-Man” screenplay, tells Nerdist that he’ll be back in some capacity (likely punching up the script) on the sequel.

“We’ve been talking to Marvel actually,” McKay told the site. “We just talked to them the other day, and it looks like I will be involved [in Ant-Man and the Wasp]. I don’t know if it’s gonna be right from page one. But it looks like I will definitely be involved. There you go. There’s a little headline for the fanboys!”

Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari are writing the “Ant-Man and the Wasp” screenplay – with, it seems, McKay.

Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lily and Michael Douglas will reprise their roles from the 2015 hit in the film, due 2018.
