“Warcraft” film announced at Blizzcon


Sknr.net is reporting that the long-rumoured “World of Warcraft” movie has been announced.

At Blizzcon in Anaheim, Blizzard announced the film would be a live action film told from the Alliance point of view that would cover a twenty year gap and fill in some of the plot lines that exist between current episodes of the series.

The film was said to be an Epic adventure along the lines of “Braveheart”, “The 300”, and “Gladiator”.

No names or Director have been attached, but it was learned that current Superman Brandon Routh, has expressed interest in touring the company. Stay tuned for more information and updates from Blizzcon.

The film is currently a Warner Bros picture with a possible 2009 release.
