Following the news that Vince Vaughn and Colin Farrell have joined HBO’s “True Detective” season 2, Variety reports that Rachel McAdams has been offered a starring part.
While McAdams “is said to be locking down a lead role”, speculation suggests that Taylor Kitsch is also likely to land the fourth, and final, lead.
Set in California, the season will centre on three cops and a career criminal who face a web of conspiracy following a murder.
McAdams and Kitsch are expected to join Farrell as the show’s three leading detectives with Vaughn playing the crime boss.
Series creator Nic Pizzolatto penned the second season of the hit show. Justin Lin is attached to helm the first two eps.
