Penn to star in Van Wilder Deux

As Ryan Reynolds recently let slip, he won’t be back for a "Van Wilder" sequel – funnily enough, the ‘not on your life’ was edited from most interviews in which he announced that – but co-star Kal Penn will be.

Penn, who played the amusing offsider Taj in the 2003 comedy, will headline "Van Wilder Deux: The Rise of Taj" for Myriad Pictures, says Coming Soon.

In the sequel, Van Wilder’s protégé arrives at Oxford University to show the stuffy Brits how to party.

Tapestry Films’ ("Wedding Crashers") Robert Levy, Peter Abrams and Andrew Panay will produce the film.

No word on whether Reynolds will cameo in the film, or opt to sleep in that day.
