Caffeinated Clint
With Conan the Barbarian headed back to the big screen (and with original star Arnold Schwarzenegger behind the cloth undies), no surprise to hear that NuImage is dusting off Red Sonja for another go-round.
Like Schwarzenegger’s Conan, Red Sonja hasn’t been seen on the big screen since the ’80s – with Brigitte Nielsen fronted a poorly-received 1985 film. Hopefully Christopher Cosmos, the former VP of production company BenderSpink, has the right stuff to make the flaxen-haired fighter breathe again. Though he has no produced writing credits to his name, fact that he has quite a few options suggest the guy knows what he’s doing.
There have been numerous attempts to get a “Red Sonja” movie off the ground, mostly famously with Robert Rodriguez and then-girlfriend Rose McGowan teaming up to develop a take.
