Saturday Morning Cartoons 1980’s

By Clint Morris

One for those with a Woody for nostalgia, “Saturday Morning Cartoons 1980’s” is a set featuring four-hours/two-discs of classic episodes of some of the Reagan-era’s best ‘toons.

There’s the unforgettable (snigger) “Mister T” animated series, “The Flintstone Kids”, “Dragon’s Lair”, “Galtar and the Golden Lance”, ”Thundarr the Barbarian”, “Goldie Gold and Action Jack”, “The Kwicky Koala Show”, ”Chuck Norris: Karate Kommandos”, ”The Completely Mental Misadventures of Ed Grimley”, ”Monchhichis”, and “Bisskits”.

There’s only one episode of each show on the disc – but it’s still a fun time, regardless! Brings back oh-so-many memories! (But seriously, did we really wake up at 6am on a Saturday morning to watch the “Mister T” show!? Kids are nuts!) Not to say all the shows are good – some, *cough* “Chuck Norris” *cough* are just terrible – but you’ll appreciate the ‘look back’ all the same.

Extras

A featurette on the “Thundarr the Barbarian” show – which, despite this reviewer having never seen it/heard of it, is apparently still very popular today. Go figure.
