Sequel Updates : Star Wars, Mad Max

While there’s still nothing definite on his involvement in the next “Star Wars” (it’s a rumour that’s started doing the rounds), Tom Hardy suggests he’ll definitely be involved in future “Mad Max” movies when they get going.

“Yeah I believe so!” the actor told TheWrap when asked about whether they would be happening. “I don’t know when that starts, but I believe that’s in the books. There’s a couple of those floating around. I’m waiting for the call to come.”

Speaking of “Star Wars”, “Episode VIII” director Rian Johnson says the new film picks up directly where “The Force Awakens” left off.

“I don’t want to skip ahead two years. I want to see the very next moment of what happens”, says the “Brick” director.

The relationship between Luke and Rey will be a “large part of the movie”, he added, as well as will Luke’s next steps after hermiting himself on the planet Ahch-to til now.

Johnson says Rey is “dealing with is the realization that she has this power and this gift. She’s taking her first step to coming to terms with this thing inside her that she never knew was there and is just starting to reveal its potential.”
