Taylor Kitsch, long rumoured to be part of the show’s second season, has confirmed his involvement in “True Detective”.
“I’ve just been prepping. It’s been almost a full year since I’ve been on camera, so I’m itching, man. I’m overdue,” Kitsch said in an interview with Adweek.
The former “Friday Night Lights” star joins Vince Vaughn and Colin Farrell on the HBO series. Justin Lin directs the first two of eight episodes.
The new season takes place in modern-day California.
“I loved that first season of it so much,” he said. “And it was so grounded. It could really happen. This is very similar, and I love that.”
