Robert and Susan Downey will produce a film based on the life of Phil Kitzer, a charismatic mastermind behind dozens of multi-million dollar schemes, says THR.
Warner Bros has preemptively picked up the rights to the book proposal ”Chasing Phil: The World’s Greatest Con Man, Two Undercover FBI Agents, and Their Amazing Around The World Adventure” for Team Downey, the duo’s prod co.
Downey would possibly star as Kitzer in the movie, described as a cross between “Wall Street” and “Goodfellas”.
Along with the film rights, Warner Bros. also acquired the life rights for retired FBI agents Jim Wedick and Jack Brennan.
