From “The View” to “Ride Along 2”; Sherri Shepherd has joined the cast of the Universal flick.
Shepherd will join Kevin Hart and Ice Cube in the Tim Story directed pic, reports Deadline.
Story will helm from a script by Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay with Ice Cube and Matt Alvarez producing for CubeVision alongside Will Packer Productions’ Will Packer, Larry Brezner and Scott Bernstein.
The pic, dated for January 15, 2016, is the sequel to the highest-grossing January release ever. “Ride Along” raked in $134 million, winning the box office three weeks straight.
On June 26, Shepherd announced that she was leaving “The View” after seven years on the talk-show. August 8 will be her last episode.
