Tom Hiddleston to play Carl Seltz in a Hard Boiled movie?

Filmmaker Ben Wheatley and British thesp Tom Hiddleston (“Thor”) are circling a feature based on the Frank Miller and Geoffrey Darrow graphic novel “Hard Boiled”.

Wheatley is in negotiations to write and direct the film, which will be produced by Warner Bros. Solipsist Films and Hollywood Gan will co-produce.

Debuting in 1990, “Hard Boiled” fixes on an insurance investigator who learns he’s really a homicidal cyborg tax collector.

Deadline, who had the scoop, say Warners is hoping to fashion the vehicle as an action piece for rising marquee name Hiddleston.
