I may have just dampened, rather shamefully, the left side of my drawers.
’90s gem “Boy Meets World” – the sitcom that introduced most of us to the name, word and icon ‘Topanga’ – is making a return…. complete with gender switcheroo.
“Girl Meets World”, in the works at the Disney Channel, will serve as a sequel to the Ben Savage-starring sitcom, with Savage and Danielle Fishel reprising their roles as Cory and Topanga, now proud parents to a teenage girl – who would be the show’s focus.
TVLine, who broke the news, doesn’t mention the possibility of Rider Strong (‘Shawn’), Matthew Lawrence (‘Jack’), or – and shame, if they don’t get this legend back! – William Daniels (‘Mr Feeny’) making appearances, but I dare say it’ll happen.. if the show goes ahead.
