Okay, that might be a bit harsh – the film does boast a pretty strong cast, including big names such as Jessica Alba, Samuel L. Jackson, Hailee Steinfeld and Sophie Turner.
The action comedy comes from writer/director Kyle Newman and follows Megan (Steinfeld), a young international assassin who yearns for a normal adolescence, prompting her to fake her own death and enroll in a suburban high school.
Alba plays Victoria, Megan’s former handler, and Jackson plays Hardman, Megan’s mentor.
Produced by Main Street Films, Hopscotch Pictures and RatPac Entertainment, “Barely Lethal” hits cinemas this fall.
