The trailer for a fun looking “Transformers” knock-off called “The Darkest Hour” is online – by golly I might go so far as to say this thing actually looks like the movie many of us wish “Transformers” had been. The flick tells of a group of youngsters (including our very own Rachael Taylor), vacationing in Russia, who are forced to “fight back” against aliens that have also decided Moscow is the ideal holiday spot.
Here’s the official synopsis :
The Darkest Hour, starring Emile Hirsch, Rachael Taylor, Olivia Thirlby, Max Minghella, and Joel Kinnamana, is a new film about five young people who find themselves stranded in Moscow, fighting to survive in the wake of a devastating alien attack. The 3D action-thriller highlights the classic beauty of Moscow alongside mind-blowing special effects from the minds of visionary filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Night Watch) and director Chris Gorak.
“The Darkest Hour” is released in December.
